Brezno
The city Brezno is administrative, economic , cultural and social center of the region Horehronie . It lies in the middle of Horehronské podolie , is surrounded by hills of the Nízke Tatry and Veporské Rudohorie . It is a starting point to tourist centers in the Nízke Tatry and the Slovenské Rudohorie .

History
The oldest known written mention about the city Brezno dates from 1265, which was intended for a settlers of Liptov. The mention formulated them their area for hunting. In 1517 tragedy struck the town. It was sacked and burned, ashes lie down with him and with the first sacral monument, wooden church on the square Brezno.
