Hustopece

The town Hustopeče lies in the heart of southern Moravia, near Pálava and Novomlýnske nádrže. There have been many important personalities in the past, oi. the first Czechoslovak president, TG Masaryk, and the world-famous painter Alfons Mucha. Masaryk is in Hustopeče dedicated to several memorial sites. In 2009 the educational walkway Masaryk and Hustopeče was officially opened, which maps the most important places connected with its local activities. Besides the walk through the forest park Křížový vrch with chapel sv. Rocha, Hustopeče´s fishponds or Kamenný vrch are also lovers of cycling because of the large number of local cycling routes. Central European rarity are almond kernels, with 50,000 mongers growing at the time of the biggest boom. There is an educational walkway and a lookout. The observation tower stands on the edge of the almond tree set on Hustopeče's old hill at an altitude of about 300 meters.

History

The first written references date from the middle of the 13th century, when it was the owner of Vilém z Hustopečí. From the beginning of the 14th century until the end of the 16th century the town of Králové monastery (Aula Regia) was situated in Old Brno. Between 1599 and 1848, Hustopeče belonged to Liechtenstein, then became the seat of a political and judicial district. An important milestone was the year 1572, when Emperor Maxmilián Hustopec was promoted to the city and granted them a character whose form remains unchanged to the present.

Location and climate

The city lies 184 meters above the sea level and extends to 2.2447 hectares. The whole area is climatically warmer in the Czech Republic, benefiting from the cultivation of quality wine and the tourist attractiveness of the region.

Tourist attractions

There are many historical and memorial buildings in the city. These are the town hall, the church of St. Wenceslas or Renaissance town house. The Town Hall is a Neo-Renaissance building dating from r. 1906. On the facade there are sandstone details - the emblem of the city, the year, the head of Bakcha. There is a TGM memorial board at the entrance. The dominant feature of the city is the Pillar of the Dead, which is dedicated to the so-called The Morning Patron - St. Rocha, Šebestián, František Xaverský and Karlovy Boromejský. At the foot of the pillar is Our Lady and St. Joseph. The peak is dominated by St. The Trinity is a saint.

Surroundings

Hustopece is the ideal place for excursions to the surrounding nature, on the lookout tower on Hustopeče's old hill, which can be walked through almond kits. The route is less than 5 km long, where you can relax on 4 seating.
When visiting nature, visitors are also looking for two Hustopeče ponds - Predný and Zadný. Since 2014, tones have begun to emerge. Their main purpose is flood protection of the city.
Another tourist attraction is the educational trail "Masaryk and Hustopeče", about 2 km long, which takes tourists to the town in the footsteps of the first Czechoslovak president TG Masaryk. 6 stops brings visitors to places of great importance associated with his life and family.
