Tatranská Kotlina je vhodná pre nenáročných turistov, ktorí majú radi kľud, ticho a pokoj. Aj tí, ktorí nie sú ubytovaní v Sanatóriu, majú možnosť využívať jeho ponuku bazénu, sauny, vírivky, masáži a pod. V miestnom Minimarkete dostať kúpiť všetko potrebné a v Kolibe sa dá veľmi chutne najesť. Lyžiarske strediská v Ždiari a v T.Lomnici sú ľahko dostupné a na svoje si prídu aj turisti.
