Priamo v Tatranskej Kotline niet veľmi čo odporúčať. Okrem jaskyne a jednej reštaurácie sa tam v tomto ročnom období nedá ísť nikam. Najbližšie je iba Tatranská Lomnica, prípadne Starý Smokovec. Ale s kultúrou je to tam biedne. Iba ak múzeá.
Ale najhoršia je neuveriteľná špina a neporiadok popri ceste. Vodiči (a možno aj cyklisti) priamo z áut vyhadzujú svoj odpad, igelitky, plechovky, fľaše a všetok ten bordel končí v potoku a popri ceste. Neskutočné!! Je to na zaplakanie a zdá sa, že to nikomu nevadí.
